Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Agla Qadam mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By installing the app, creating an account, joining the beta, or browsing this site, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

The Service is operated by the Agla Qadam team. A legal entity name and registered address will be added here before public launch. Contact details are the email shown in the site footer once NEXT_PUBLIC_CONTACT_EMAIL is configured, or the in-app contact after launch.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Agla Qadam. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

Accounts

• You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or threaten the security of the Service.
• You can delete your account in app Settings or by contacting us; we will also remove personal data associated with it as described in the Privacy Policy unless law requires us to retain it.

What Agla Qadam provides

Agla Qadam offers educational guidance for students in Pakistan: merit calculation, university and scholarship discovery (including cadet colleges and international options), entrance-test preparation (MDCAT, ECAT, NET), and career exploration. The Service helps you organise and explore information; it does not replace official sources.

Important disclaimers: merit aggregates, admissions chances, scholarship availability, deadlines, and university information may change. Always confirm requirements, eligibility, and dates with the relevant institution, examining body, and scholarship provider before you apply, pay a fee, or travel. We do not guarantee admission, exam results, or funding.

Beta testing programme

• The beta is an early, limited release provided for testing. Features may be incomplete, inaccurate, or change without notice.
• Participation is voluntary and free during the beta unless we state otherwise. Invitations, build access, and timelines are at our discretion.
• Apply via the Google Form at docs.google.com/forms/d/e/…/viewform. That form is hosted by Google and subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
• We may approve, waitlist, or decline applications; cap the number of testers; and withdraw access or end the beta at any time.
• Please keep unreleased beta builds and feedback channels confidential unless we explicitly say you may share them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy, or attempt to access accounts or systems without permission.
• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract content from the Service except as permitted by standard browser use.
• Upload malware, spam, or harmful content, or interfere with, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
• Submit feedback or content that is unlawful, deceptive, or violates others' rights. You retain your feedback content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to improve Agla Qadam.

App screenshots shown on this website are from the actual Agla Qadam app. University data, scholarship lists, and other catalogue information are gathered from the sources shown inside the app and are provided for information only. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that the information is complete or current.

Intellectual property

The Service, its code, design, branding (including the Agla Qadam name and logo), and the curated copy on this site are owned by us or our licensors and are licensed to you — not sold. You may not copy, modify, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as these Terms allow. The on-device phone model attribution appears in the site footer.

Third-party services

The app may use third parties such as Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Firebase, Google Forms for beta applications, and app-store distribution tools. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Links to universities and scholarship providers leave Agla Qadam; we are not responsible for their content, fees, or decisions.

Fees

Downloading this website and applying for the beta is free. Any future paid features will be described clearly in the app and at checkout before you are charged.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may improve, modify, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the Service or the beta at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a security risk. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties — express or implied — including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The beta, in particular, may contain defects. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if we were advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim (or PKR 5,000 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, or that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes arising out of the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; failing that, the courts of Pakistan shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We will update the "Last updated" date above when these Terms change and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app, on this site, or by email. Your continued use after an update means you have accepted the revised Terms.
